TOORC in 2007 - Moving into the New Year
December 29, 2006 by FFanatic_1
Oh how time flies, doesn't it? TOORC as a club is moving into the New Year without any hesitation. Thank you to all the people that have sticked around thus far. We have alot of surprises coming into the New Year. I can't say much but change will promptly occur starting from New Years.
Oh and we did an audio show (finally...) after a long hiatus. Check out our more or less misadventures on the topic of next-gen consoles.

Welcome (OFFICIALY) to the new TOORC site!
December 25, 2006 by FFanatic_1
Ah, it's been a good, almost less than a month since I last announced that relaunch date and alot of things have happened since then but I kept to my word that I am going to relaunch this site come December 25, 2006, come hell or heaven. I physically tried to make it in every way possible to make this site filled with content and to my best accomplishment, every link in the navigation is clickable and you won't be given the error message!
I have stumbled through quite a few road blocks in keeping my word but the reassurances of TOORC members helped me to keep striving on and continue for the best. And thank you, it did help.
The relaunch of this site symbolizes a few key things, mainly for one, I made this site especially to cater to our TOORC members after extensive surveying on what you would like to see and what would keep your attention to this site and keep on coming back. The main focus comes from my three pillars of TOORC: site, club, and community. Those build the foundation for TOORC and identifies it as what it is. It is essential that we continue to look towards the future as a club and expect new things to come each and every day.
Well, enough talking, look around, see what you like and don't like, give me feedback and such.
TOORC Relaunch Date

Many of you stumbling here are probably thinking...WTF?! Another site relaunched without the proper content again?! You suck Will! Well I kindly take all your hatred and discontent and I'll just give you the excuse that I am too busy with school and I can't really concentrate on making content for the site and balancing it with my already stressful schoolwork. So I'll give you this, I will properly do a formal relaunch of the entire TOORC site on a set date. On that given date, every page on this site will be accessable and filled with content. So here it is:

Why Social Networking Matters
December 1, 2006 by FFanatic_1
Face it, on these days on the internet social networking is everywhere. People are turning towards their computers and internet as a form of social communication. Instead of reality, people are choosing to go to a chat room on AOL or post on a message board forum to satisify their social needs. It is altogether quite common nowadays. I'm not personally voicing any complains against the whole social networking but I do see alot of problems that are encountered. Primarly, the internet predators and such. In the case of the internet, it is way too easy to mask your identity to create a fraud that will backlash upon somemone in real life. Many such occasions occur with internet relationships in that, the assumed women turns out nothing to be a lonely 35 year old nerd that likes to steal your phone and credit card numbers. Many large social networking sites such as Myspace are becoming the breeding ground for internet predators and I believe 75% of the U.S. nation will fall into a predators trap very easily. Of course, this gives social networking the kind of bad reputation it does to the public.
But there are true people on the internet, behind every FFanatic_1 or OhShestoDeadly are true people behind the computer. Those people that have the technical knowhow to safeguard their identities on the internet but also developing relationsips and friendships over the internet. Sometimes, they get to the point where the trust becomes mutual that people begin wanting to find out more about the person in real life. To be honest, I have never hidden anything about myself that I felt uncomfortable with sharing. There's something about the internet that you can tell towards people that you can't share in real life. And people can relate to it because they been through the same embarrasing experiences you had.
So to my point, there is a certain trust that can grow with people on the internet that you constantly talk with for a long period of time. With a tightly knit community like TOORC, real world possibilities are a welcome talk and personalities of each person are shown more and more every day. I'd certainly would want to meet OhShesToDeadly one day.
